Finally have a scanner here at Palmer World Headquarters, so I’ll occasionally be posting drawings from notebooks, scripts, and various scraps of paper as I stumble across them.

For example, I found this little sketch in an old notebook from the late 90’s–I think she’s an early version of a character for a show that I just recently redeveloped and pitched to one of the big dogs in kids entertainment.

Whoever she is, I like her.

A couple days ago, I stumbled across an amazing site. Illustration Friday is a weekly illustration challenge created by Penelope Dullaghan. Every Friday, a topic is posted to the site, and then professional illustrators and novice artists alike, from all over the world, post their own interpretations of the topic.

When I found the site, I spent hours looking at the incredible and interesting work people had posted, but it took me only about 5 seconds to decide I wanted to participate, too. So, from here on out, my Friday drawings will be Illustration Friday drawings!

Smart illustrators probably discovered IF years ago, but if you’re a little behind the curve like me, check out the site, and jump aboard! Would love to see your work.
