Nap time.

So there you go. A year of drawings–393 of them to be exact.

That was…fun. And tiring. And a bit unnerving. And really time consuming. But mostly fun! And I’m happy that I stuck with it, because if you make 390 some-odd drawings, chances are a couple of ’em will be keepers. And I think there are some keepers in there. Maybe seven or eight.

So now what? Now we switch it up. I’m lucky enough to say I’m working a lot of gigs right now, but what I need to keep focused on, and working on, are my own book, TV and film projects. So now we focus. Instead of a drawing a day, I’m going to post a couple times a week, and instead of random drawings, I’m going to post sketches and ideas that will hopefully, eventually, become something–a TV show, a book, a movie. A puppet show. A mime opera. You get the idea.

So thanks for coming along for the ride so far. More fun stuff ahead, I think. Let’s see.

Click on the image above to see a little clip of a longer animation I did for Restore, a wonderful charity that helps survivors of human trafficking here in the United States.

The one minute spot, which was recently shown at Restore’s Second Annual Freedom Gala, was conceived and designed by David Heatley, produced by Jeremy Slutskin at Hyperactive, featured the gorgeous song Dream by Priscilla Ahn, was was animated by yours truly and the inimitable Keelmy Carlo.

So proud to be able to work with such talented folks for such a worthy cause. I’ll provide a link to the complete animation when its available. Until then, please check out Restore’s website and help out if you can.

A few years ago, I pitched a math show about a little girl who used math like magic. This is one of the first sketches for the idea, and a couple ideas for titles that were eventually rejected. (As was the pitch itself.)
