Kurt Russell, circa his role in Tequila Sunrise, a terrific film from the 80’s with a knockout cast, especially Kurt as a conflicted cop who has to do wrong to do right, Michelle Pfeiffer as a tough but tender-hearted restauranteur, and Raul Julia as an opera-singing drug kingpin/ Mexican DEA agent, (man, that guy could really sing!). Also, full disclosure–Mel Gibson is in it, (but he doesn’t suck all the fun out of the film…really!).
